Last weekend (hmmm...I guess it was two weekends ago now) we were able to travel to Portland to see one of my very, very dearest friends get married. How were we able to do it? My mom. She came with us. And fed babies. And got up in the night. And watched them while we were at the wedding, dancing away. It was wonderful. She is wonderful. Anyway, we had a fabulous time. I was able to spend a lot of time with Angela--at the rehearsal dinner, in the morning while she was getting hair and make-up done, at the wedding...it was an amazing wedding celebrating two of the most beautiful people I know. And I am SO glad we were able to be a part of it. (For the record, the babies did great in the car. Although I don't think we will be attempting a weekend-long road trip for awhile :) )
